This battery-operated door chime is powered by 4 D batteries (not included).  It features a white cover and faux brass tubes on each side, giving it a sleek and stylish look.   The sound quality produced by this chime is excellent with its 4” speaker.  It will play one of 13 available melodies and is compatible with other Carlon brand wireless doorbell buttons and receivers.  Measures: 7 (W) x 8.37 (H) x 2.5 (D)

    We got our doorbell and right away we unwrapped it and put it to work. It worked great. The thing we are disappointed about our doorbell is we were wanting a couple of chimes that did not come with it but we still liked ti and happy with the doorbell/

    I have only one suggestion for this unit otherwise it is a very good product.
    It can be mounted on the wall either in a vertical or horizontal position. If vertical it is perfect with having just one hole in the cover and one prong to go in the hole to hold the cover to the unit. However, when mounting it horizontally which is what we wanted the one hole is not enough to hold both ends of the while cover to the unit. I had to apply scotch tape to hold the one end that does not have the hole. Something to consider. Other than that we re very pleased with the unit.

    I live in a ranch home that is approximately 2300 square feet. The push button would be at the front door and the receiver would be approximately halfway down toward the back of the house. Would this be loud enough to hear in our den which is in the very back of the house?

    The range from the transmitter (push button) to the receiver (chime that makes the sound) is up to 150 ft. line of sight. Walls and other environmental factors will reduce the actual effective range.
