Expand your listening areas by adding more LRA-DCRX receivers to your existing system:

You can add another receiver to your existing system if you already have existing LRA products (sensor/transmitters and receivers).  For example, you may have an existing receiver (LRA-DCRX) in your warehouse to alert you when USPS or FEDEX arrives at your back door for a delivery.  However, you may not hear that receiver in your office when your door is closed.  By pairing another LRA-DCRX with your existing sensors, you can close the door, adjust the volume, and now hear the receiver in your office when you receive an alert.

LRA-DCRX Quick Feature Guide

  • Range of up to 1,000 ft. from sensor/transmitter to receiver.  Please note this distance is measured, like all manufacturer’s published ranges, is line of sight.  This means in optimal environments, you will get 1,000 ft. of range.  However, environmental factors WILL reduce the actual range you may get.  Most wireless products you purchase range from 100 – 300 ft., which won’t suffice in commercial environments.  There’s also a repeater, the LRA-RPX, that may extend the range of your system up to 1,000 additional feet.
  • Volume control: inside the receiver’s front cover is a volume control dial allowing you to turn the volume down or up to max.  This is the loudest wireless door chime receiver we carry.
  • Optional Strobe Light: great for the hard of hearing or in loud environments, the bright strobe light on this receiver provides an excellent visual indicator.  The selector switch on the side of the receiver allows you to turn the strobe on or off.
  • 32 Different Melodies:   The LRA-DCRX provides 32 different melodies or sounds.
  • LED Zone Indicator:  Even when the strobe is turned off, and the volume is down, a colored LED lights the zone corresponding to the transmitter/sensor that triggered the receiver.

    This receiver is identical to the one which comes in the LRA D1000 set which we purchased recently. We bought a second receiver in order to be sure we had coverage throughout our large house. We had 3 receivers with our previous wireless doorbell, but the volume control with 90 dB capability on these receivers made a 3rd receiver unnecessary. This receiver was very easy to sync with the doorbell included in our LRA D1000 set, and everything works beautifully. We couldn’t be more pleased.

    We used this to announce customers in a c-store walk in cooler area and restaurant back kitchen. This gave our cashiers the ability to stock the drink cooler during shift hours in addition to the end of the shift. They are alerted a customer entered the store. The volume control, various settings and simple installation is awesome awesome!!!! We all love it, more efficient labor utilized. Also the cook combines the alert with their monitor to watch for customers, lots of equipment noise in a kitchen. . Great product! I bought 3 receivers.

    what is the decibel levle of this door chime? Can I add an external bell to it?

    The receivers are being used on three levels of my home so I wouldn’t miss hearing the door bell. The first real test was recently when I was in the basement and the pizza guy came to the house. It works as designed.

    The setup was a little tricky to get three receivers in sync with the transmitter. Once synced, I had to test by pushing doorbell button three times for all three receivers to acknowledge the signal and chime. All in all, I am more confident that I won’t miss a visitor when I’m not in the main area of the house.

    Robust & reliable. Adjustable volume is great. But I’d really like a way to adjust the strobe brightness. It’s hard to see the zone indicator when the strobe is flashing. Fortunately, a piece of white tape across the front of the strobe solves this problem. Now it mostly lights up the ceiling, which is just what I want.

    It took me less than 5 minutes to set up. I used velcro on the transmitter to make battery changes easier. Volume is adjustable and can be very loud for folks with hearing issues. The strobe light also helps. We use the receiver in multiple locations. The battery-powered unit lets you relocate it where you need it.

    My mom has become deaf and can no longer hear the doorbell. I installed several battery-powered devices (Safeguard LRA-DCRXA) around the house, coupled with the transmitter from the extender kit (LRA-EX1000S) that connects to the existing doorbell chime (I just had to connect 3 wires from the transmitter to the existing Nutone chime). The you-tube video, combined with the written instructions made the coupling of the bluetooth technology really easy. My mother is so happy as whenever the doorbell is now pressed, strobe lights flash repeatedly (in sync) around the house. I could not be more pleased with this purchase. I had a few questions along the way and the people from 1-800 Doorbell were extremely helpful – they guided me to buy the right items based on my needs (there were several different options) and helped explain how to install. FIVE STARS without hesitation.
