Can I Expand the AV-200 Kit?

The kit comes with 50′ of double-strand wire that you will use to connect the sensor to the transformer and the speaker to the sensor.   Do not use more than 100 ft. of wire from the sensor to the speaker for optimal performance. You can also purchase an add-on speaker below and connect this add-on speaker to the first speaker in the kit. When using 2 x speakers, it is recommended not to extend either connection (sensor to speaker one and speaker 1 to speaker 2) past 50 feet each.  This will ensure you receive a loud, quality rich sound.

    Well made. Includes everything needed for a simple installation. Customer was happy, they did complain that the alert was too loud, however. (They were sitting very near to the speaker.) We wired a volume control in line with the speaker and this took care of the issue. I can see this set-up being extremely useful in a larger warehouse with a front office and back warehouse. It was too powerful for the tight space we were using with limited sight of the secure service window from the staff seating area. Will order again.

    Good morning. No, the AV-200 is a self contained wired kit so in order to add another door, you would need another AV-200 kit and they would work independently of one another. I would recommend the ERA-PRDCR, which has a range of up to 4000 feet and is compatible with up to 12 transmitters and an unlimited amount of receivers. To have two doors and one receiver you would need one ERA-PRDCR and then an additional ERA-PIR. Thank you,

    Yes, as long as the motion sensor is mounted over the door, when someone passes through the zone, it is triggered. As a matter of fact, this product was really designed for doors that stay open. If the door typically remains closed, we would recommend the ERA-UTX (magnetic door contact).

    The chime alerts you to when someone breaks the beam, just as expected. You can add on to the alert system expanding where the chime will be heard. This is for a shop so the sound is loud enough to hear well, even when not near the speaker. Very satisfied with the product.

    The set up of this was simple and easy. The speaker is loud and the sensor works based on motion of people entering/moving around the front door and not just door opening and closing. It’s hard wired with easy instructions to follow so there is no battery or blutooth wear out.

    I think I may have the wrong transformer the one listed has a different looking transformer the one I received has the wires already attached. Idk what I did wrong kind of hard to screw up but it will not make a sound but I think I hear a scratching sound that comes from the transformer but the speaker has nothing and I wired it directly to the sensor to test it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. It’s the AV200

    Good afternoon. Since the AV-200 is a self contained wired kit, a second PIR sensor can not be added. You would need to purchase a 2nd kit for the other door and the two kits would not work together. A second transmitter can be added with any of our wireless systems (such as the ERA-PRXPG).
