    This worked out really nicely for me. I spent months trying to get my old door bell to work. It took me about 15 minutes to put this system up and get it working. It’s so nice to have a door bell again and not have people banging on my door.

    We were looking for a “special needs” button. We have a wrought iron fenced court yard, which stops people well before they get to the door of the house at a dead bolted gate. Though a standard push button was located on the wall of the house, by the gate…many visitors claimed they did not see the button. I called the help line and asked for the “largest-lit button.” The rep suggested this one which turns out to be roughly the size of an interior light switch. The light is no larger than a standard push button, but it stands out about an inch or inch &1/2 from the wall. Both the size of about 3X5 and then the dimension of the actual button being situated on the rounded ball, makes the light stand out a lot more than a traditional lighted button. I wasn’t crazy about the look of it in the picture. We picked the antique bronze, and were happily surprised that it was much better looking in real life. The 3 dimensional view is much better looking than I thought it would be. It was easy to install by following simple instructions. We are really pleased and also thankful for the help of the customer service rep, who directed us to this particular push button. We are very happy with its size and quality. It shows from a greater distance, and UPS used it just last night to alert us of a package delivery (they often don’t ring the bell claiming they didn’t see it)…apparently now they can see it!

    I ordered this doorbell in Black – I have black hardware on my front door. Have been searching for a larger plate doorbell and this is perfect. The electrician will be installing it next week — can’t wait to see it installed. I held it up over my old skinny one – and this one definitely makes a statement !!!!     To change the batteries in the chime, remove the brass tubes by pressing each tube in the center and lifting forward. To change the batteries in the button, insert a ball point pen into the round hole at the bottom and gently push in tab, then lift cover.     I received the new chime very quickly. Following the instructions carefully about battery placement etc the chime did not work. I then followed the trouble shooting instructions to no avail, it did not work not a sound.Called a phone number and told to leave a voice mail someone would get back to me. I waited a day heard nothing. In the paper work found another Phone number and actually talk to someone. After our conversation She apologized for The problem and the inconvenience and shipped me a replacement unit at no charge. I am very satisfied with the outcome. I installed the new unit and its awesome.

    1. Mark screw locations onto wall for position.
    2. Drill 7/32″ holes into wall for plastic anchors. Place anchors into holes and install
    silver screws.
    3. Leave screw heads extending about 1/4″ from wall.
    4. Slide Receiver base onto screws and lock into slots.

    The RC4300 receiver takes 4 D batteries and these batteries are located in the brass tubes on the side of the chime. To release the tube, press in the center and lift forward. I have also included the product manual with these instructions.

    Nice tone! Easy to install. Perhaps more tones to select from than are really needed, but why not?
    This model has the right look for the age of our house. Every other company’s models looked too modern and out of place.

    The doorbell was supposed to arrive on 9/25 but didn’t arrive until 9/28. Not your fault – UPS delay. The only negative is the installation of the door chime receiver. It’s difficult to get the screws into the holes on the back of the case. It would be better to have a way to
    screw the chime receiver through the front of the case. Other than that, everything else is wonderful.

    I bought this exact Carion Wireless Battery Operated Door Chime RC4300 25 years ago and even though I can’t change the default 1 ding chime (I think it’s my fault trying to change the batteries) that were in there for 25 years! I decided to buy the exact door chime once again! I love it! It’s exactly the same product 25 years later and perfect in workmanship! I also ordered it within 2 days it was at my front door! How did you do that??? Not even Amazon can make this miracle happen like 1800 doorbell company chime did it! I am totally amazed and in awe!     I am soo happy as over the past 12 months, I have been dealing with a doorbell I purchased at Home Depot, A Hampton Bay product. The Home Depot Hampton bay product is a piece of garbage and it costs over 2X more than the one I purchased at 800 doorbell.com. That Hampton Bay product really is bad, I am surprised they still sell them.

    I put the normal one on my front business door. I also have a few old antique ones with various plastic eyes from Etsy site. The cat eye is a 1/2″ which can be glued on or pry the plastic button off and glue directly to the backing which is what this bell in the middle pic is which I added and is voted the best one and also the cat eye makes it even more awesome. This companys Staff fixs any issue on the spot and I highly recommend this site. The burnished brass is only sold here as far as I could see and at a great price.
