    Is the back plate plastic or metal ? This looks exactly like the cheap plastic ones at Lowe’s from China that is made to look like metal until you open the sealed package and find out it’s just plastic.

    1) Need a photo of the back to determine if it can be a replacement for old doorbell.
    2) Is it plastic or metal?

    We do not have a photo of the back of the product, but it is recessed, meaning you will need to drill a hole into the wall to house the push button electronics. The hole will need to be 3/4”.

    I purchased and installed the Craftmade BR7-B Recessed Mounted Spindle Wired Doorbell Button – Hammered Black Finish, but the LED light is not lighting up. I tried swapping the wires on the terminals but still no light. Any suggestions?
