Transformer or Battery Operated Wired Door Chime
If you need a wired doorbell but don’t have a transformer, use this wired door chime with 4 x C batteries to power this chime. (Also works with a transformer)
Please note, if you have a lighted push button, do not use batteries, use a transformer as the light will drain the battery.
- One or two-door operation with different tones to distinguish which push button originates the tone
- Two note sounds for the front door, one-note sound for the second door
- AC operation for battery use, 4 x C sized alkaline batteries (do not use batteries with lighted push buttons)
- DC mode uses a 16 V transformer
- One year manufacturer’s warranty

I am still waiting to receive my doorbell. The doorbell was suppose to arrive several days ago and tracking info says only “arriving late”. Not Happy.

After searching the web for an uncommon doorbell I finally found one at 1800Doorbell. The order process was fast and easy. I tracked my shipment and watched it go from facility to distribution center and so on. Then my package seemed to disappeared. Gone. Tracking never updated. I waited and waited. Nothing. I called 1800Doorbell and told them what happend. The representative on the phone said “that’s not good”. She said “I’ll ship you another one right now.” Nice. I got the second shipment in only a few days. I installed it at the customer’s house. “Ding Ding” Yey! A doorbell never sounded so good. Thank you!

Battery installation is problematic. Could have been designed better in the area that makes contact with the batteries. The ring mechanism works great.
