Choosing Between ERA-PBTX and ERA-UTX Push Buttons
Both the ERA-PBTX and ERA-UTX offer almost a mile of range. However, the ERA-PBTX boasts a more stylish design with a green LED halo, while the ERA-UTX has a more rugged exterior and can function as a magnetic door/window contact in addition to a push button. We recommend the ERA-UTX for heavy-duty use.

Everything showed up quickly and damage free. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I was doing. put a button up front and one at the rear door of our warehouse. set two different tones mounted the unit out in the warehouse by the office area. it is loud enough for us to hear regardless where we are. With the ability to have 2 distinctive tones (or more) it keeps us from guessing which door to go to. Everyone is pleased with the ease and function. will keep you posted as we see how the longevity is.

Can the doorbell be installed horizontally, as apposed to the north/south position that you illustrate?

Good morning. The ERA-PBTX can be installed horizontally but we would recommend it being placed under some time of covering. When installed vertically, it would be completely weather proof but horizontally, there would be a small opening where moisture could seep in. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Great design and sturdy construction! These transmitters work well when mounted on metal doors and transmitting through multiple concrete and wood frame walls over long distances, both horizontally and vertically. Flashing light circle around push button is great to let callers know the doorbell is being rung. Programmable feature for different zones is awesome.
