The Craftmade push buttons do not contain diodes and none of the Craftmade chimes will work with push buttons that do contain diodes.

What diameter and depth hole in the house is required to mount the doorbell button? Since it is a recessed style I assume the electronics require a hole be drilled in the siding to accommodate the electronics.
