    This is a nice doorbell. When I picked it up off the front porch after FEDEX dropped it off, I could not believe how heavy it was. It is really a nice doorbell.

    This doorbell sounds nice and it rings long enough and is loud enough to hear at the far end of the house. This chime replaced an existing doorbell.
    The instruction for installation was good. Installation was straight-forward.
    This chime requires continuous power after the button is pushed. The wiring from my old chime needed to be slightly modified to remove a wire-nut which tied the pushbutton to the power feed (3-wire method) and convert to a separate power feed and separate button circuit (4-wire).

    I’m assuming you can use any regular doorbell button in conjunction with the C3-PW chime, a regular button keeping the circuit closed for the length of time it takes to push and release, maybe 2 seconds at most. That being the assumption, if transformer power to the chime lasts for only 2 seconds, how is the C3-PW chime able to sustain an 8-note Westminster melody for approximately 10 seconds? What I’m missing here?

    How is this C3-PW chime able to run through a 4 or 8-note chime with a regular doorbell button? Is there some kind of latch circuit in the chime electronics that keeps the chime running even though the the doorbell button is no longer depressed?

    Will it work if there are only 2 doors available? Or does it require 3 doors to work?

    It will work with 1-3 doors, so if you only have one door bell push button, it will still work fine.
