The primary difference between these two models is the size of the speaker on the receiver. The RC3730D, which we categorize as our economy model, is equipped with a slightly smaller speaker, measuring 1-1/2”. However, the size doesn’t compromise the performance of the doorbell.
It’s easy to assume that a smaller speaker might mean a quieter, less clear sound. But that is not the case with the RC3730D. Despite its compact size, the speaker is incredibly powerful. It delivers a sound that is not only loud but also exceptionally crisp.
So, while we may term this wireless doorbell as an “economy” model, it is no lesser product. It’s an excellent, cost-effective option for those seeking a doorbell that is both reliable and produces a clear, loud sound. It may have a smaller speaker than our best-seller, the RC3250, but it certainly holds its own in terms of performance.

Does this doorbell hook up with a cell phone? Can it hear people coming and going when hooked up to a cell phone. Does it alert cell phone user of anything?

Good morning. All Carlon/Thomas & Betts/Dimango wireless products are compatible, as long as your current system was manufactured after 2001. You can find the manufactured-by date located on a round QC sticker on your receiver and/or transmitter. The last two numbers on this sticker would be the manufactured-by date. For example, if your numbers were 1106, this would mean the system was manufactured in 2006 and would be compatible with what is out now. We do have the RC3301 in stock and the link is included below. Thank you,
