    This was well worth the money!! I also bought an extra chime. So I put one chime in my bedroom which is in the back of the house and one chime that is in the den (also in the back of the house.     The push button is outdoor rated, splashproof, but not waterproof. The manufacturer recommends placing the push button under a covered roof, awning, etc.

    Even better than the door bell and receiver is the service from 1-800Doorbell. Customer service was absolutely fabulous when I had issues with my prior purchase. One thing to note is that there is a volume switch on the back of the chime unit. This is not well documented in the instructions.
