The RC3301 white wireless push button is the workhorse of the Dimango, Carlon Wireless Doorbell products.  It is the best wireless pushbutton in all of the Dimango/Carlon wireless doorbell products.

This product is very similar to the RC3341 Wireless Pushbutton.  The difference is that the actual button is black on the RC3301 versus white on the RC3341.

This is the wireless push button featured in most Carlon wireless door chime kits and you can purchase additional RC3301 buttons for other doors or as a replacement for the button in your existing system.  This push button has a range of 150ft. and if you need additional range, we would recommend the Carlon RC4121 wireless button, which is also compatible.

Mounting this button is easy by using the supplied double-sided tape or the supplied mounting screws.  The backplate of the product has two predrilled holes you use to mount it to the surface.  Once it is mounted, simply snap the wireless button over the back plate you just installed.

The wireless push button is a transmitter.  When the black button is pressed, it sends a wireless signal to a compatible receiver.  The sound played by the receiver is determined by the transmitter by pressing the small extruding “pimple” located just above the black button.  Pressing this cycles the chime through the available tunes.

    I have 2 of these plug-in doorbells, for my back and front door. The buttons work fine, except my doorbell button on my back door wasn’t tight enough and it fell off and to make matters worse, I stepped on it. Thus, it finished off that button so I had to order a new one. It came in a timely matter, and, of course, 1800 doorbell.com got me all hooked up again.     I am so happy that I was able to purchase this product. When the old doorbell that came with the chimes didn’t work anymore (after seven good years) I thought I had to go out and buy a new set, chimes with ringer. I bought several types at the box store but returned them all. They all sounded so tinny and high pitched I couldn’t stand it. I love my Carlon door chime but didn’t know the brand at the time because it does not appear anywhere on the chimes. I bought several different ringers in an effort to keep my chimes but none of them worked. I finally had to break down and buy a whole new set that I didn’t want and didn’t like. It wasn’t until I removed the plate that is screwed into the house that I saw the Carlon label on the back side and was able to track it down online. Now I’m so happy I have the ringer that works with my original chimes. But I kept the old plate because the new one doesn’t have a label anywhere on it.

    The T stands for transmitter and does not have any significance. The RC3301 is a wireless push button manufactured by Thomas & Betts/Carlon so it would be compatible with any wireless chime by the same manufacturer.

    After a few years of normal operation and replacing the batteries several times, my wireless doorbell button started working intermittently a few months ago. I took it apart, put it back together, it worked a little better and finally quit. I found the replacement thru a google search and 1800Doorbell had it in stock. I ordered it from their website and it showed up in the US mail 3 days later. It took me 5 minutes to screw it on the door trim, replacing the old one. I pushed the button and it worked on the first push! The old one didn’t owe me anything. It had worked flawlessly, out in the weather for many years!

    Virtually all the Carlon (Dimango, Lamson & Sessions, Thomas & Betts) are compatible with one another. The RC3301 is a push button so if you have a Carlon wireless chime receiver, it should work. Feel free to give us a call with the specific model number of the entrance alert.

    Unfortunately, aluminum siding tends to make things tough for wireless doorbell push buttons. A wooden shim would definitely help. The more you can get the push button off the metal, the better.

    The RC3301 has a wireless range of up to 150 ft. The metal side will reduce this by 70%.- 80%. I would recommend a higher powered wireless door chime system like the LRA-D1000 by Safeguard Supply.

    I have a very old Thomas & Betts model 3301T push doorbell that just stopped working (maybe I destroyed it with the frequent disinfectant wipe downs during these Covid-19 times). It was good to see the 1800doorbell site with multiple videos and explanations detailing which is the replacement model and how to replace batteries and the transmitter/push button itself. This RC3301 Carlon Wireless Doorbell Push Button is so easy to install right out of the box. No need to do any pairing. The package already comes with batteries inside the unit but the vendor included an extra set of batteries (probably in case the existing ones are out of juice). Very thoughtful of the vendor.

    Good morning. All Carlon wireless products are compatible, as long as your current system was manufactured after 2001. You can find the manufactured-by date located on a round QC sticker on your receiver and/or transmitter. The last two numbers on this sticker would be the manufactured-by date. For example, if your numbers were 1106, this would mean the system was manufactured in 2006 and would be compatible with what is out now. Thank you,

    Today I received the wireless chime transmitter button, RC331. After removing it from it’s plastic safety package, I look it over. It included 2, 6 volt button batteries in it’s back holder, and all set to go. Eager to try it out, I plug my receiver, (doorbell) into it’s usual spot on the wall. Now, expecting the universal push button transmitter RC3011 to make the musical chime receiver, model 3051 work, I pushed the black transmitter button. Nothing, pushed several more times, no response. I opened the back of the receiver, the 2, 3volt batteries positive side up were securely in place. So! I pushed the universal transmitter button again, and several more times nothing. So I switch out the two 3volt batteries for new ones, which my volt meter check out as good, and ready to install. Placings both new batteries + side up, securely in position, I pushed the transmitter button again, nothing, several more times nothing. I can’t figure it out. I purchased the RC3302 universal transmitter button, because my other transmitter chime button, was ringing the doorbell receiver on its own, continuously. You ask? How do I know it was the push button transmitter, and not the receiver? Easy, In the past, when I pushed the original transmitter button, a built in red light lit every time. When my original transmitter push button mal-functioned, the red built in light was going on, and off on its own, triggering the receiver, ( door bell) to do the same. Any idea if my new RC3301 universal transmitter is compatible with the Dimango musical chime receiver # 3051?

And it didn’t work, even with fresh batteries, in the RC3301 transmitter. Here’s what I found after you told me told what to look for, a sticker barring,( Q.C. 23 92 passed 8). After reading your explanation. I’m figuring the 92, is the year, meaning my Dimango musical door chime receiver #3051, is 9 years too old to be compatible with any push button transmitter you have in the market place. Thank you, for your help. I need to purchase a (((loud))) cordless doorbell, as was my original. I will now continue my search for something new, and loud.

The doorbell button is draining the battery we have changed battery and it still stops working after a couple weeks we change the battery and it keeps happening but customer service is great and has been sending new button.     Had to replace my old Carlon push button and whatever was being sold in Lowes or Home Depot wouldn’t work with the Carlon. A suggestion I offer is, don’t open these push buttons beyond removing the back. I had my older one for 5 years or more and replaced the two batteries the first time without issue by removing them with a tiny flathead screwdriver. This time I had difficulty removing the bottom battery and wound up opening the entire upper case. Big mistake, as the insides are very delicate and break easily. I couldn’t get the case to close with the new batteries and had to order this one. It works fine with my old chime box and was an inexpensive solution to my problem.

    I ordered the door bell kit three months ago. Unfortunately, it stopped working two weeks ago. I thought it may be transmitter that is the problem, and I emailed the customer service and they quickly sent me a new transmitter without charge. However, the door bell still did not work. I had troubleshooted the doorbell problem and thought the problem was the button. She was very helpful and knowledgeable and recommended the RC3301 button.     We needed to replace our doorbell after the electrical got cut. We ordered two buttons and one receiver. The signal carries through our house without problems (2500 sq ft) and the ability to choose the tune is handy so we can tell which door needs our attention. The volume adjustment is nice. The receiver only covers the plug that we’re using rather than blocking both. Ideally, our wired system would get fixed, but until then, this is a great solution.

    I have a 20 year old Dimango door chime that I really like, but the original doorbell button only worked “sometimes”. The front doorbell is less than 50 feet from the chime and it passes through a cinder block exterior wall and 3 or 4 interior 2×4 walls. I bought 2 new RC3301 doorbell buttons from 1800doorbell because I also wanted to add another button at the garage entry door. I replaced the existing front doorbell with the new RC3301 and it functioned exactly as the original and the percentage of successful rings was better, but not perfect. I installed the second RC3301 out in the garage, it’s closer to 100 feet away. I was able to select a different chime for it so I could tell the difference between the front door and garage door, so that was awesome. The doorbell at this location worked maybe 50% of the time depending on time of day, temperature or other environmental factors. So I was very pleased with this product, it did what was advertised and I would give it 5 stars even though it didn’t meet my needs.
    If you are willing to spend a little bit more money, there is an extended length version of this product which is the RC4121. I bought one of these to put in the garage and it worked every time, so I bought another for the front and it also works every time. I needed a doorbell that worked every time and now I have two at different locations with different chimes, so mission accomplished. I hope I can remember which chime is the front door.
    1800doorbell provided excellent service. They shipped next day and the packages always arrived in 3 or 4 days. They are highly recommended by a very satisfied customer.

    I purchased the C3301 Carlon Dimango Compatible Wireless Doorbell Push Button system and an additional push button for the 1899 Victorian home recently bought. Tearing into walls to do wiring for a doorbell was not an option. This Victorian as typical has two front doors. The fact that I could install a push button at each door with an individualized ringtone is the perfect solution. Now I know which door a guest or a delivery is being made at.     I purchased a doorbell chime and two buttons. I like it very much.
    I had one just like it before with a walnut cover and it lasted a long time about 18 years with very few battery changes. I believe it would have continued to work after I replaced the batteries but the tubes I had to squeeze and snap out broke and it couldn’t be replaced. It wouldn’t worked that way. I like the fact that it has several different chime tones so I have one button at two bongs and the front door set at the Westminster chime tone. It works fine and I can hear it all over my house.

    I have the wall socket plug in receiver that came with the original kit. When pushing the button on the doorbell, I don’t hear the full chime, only what sounds like a very short version of the first note. Do the receivers ever go bad? I replaced the batteries in the doorbell and heard the same sound, so I know the batteries are good. My feeling is the circuit board might be shot on the doorbell. If you send me a new doorbell and it sounds the same, do you sell separate receivers?

    I moved into a house with this doorbell. The doorbell didn’t work. The original doorbell had a worn foam-type pad. I researched to find this replacement. The transmitter worked fine but the press pad was the same soft foam which seemed to require a greater effort to push the bell in comparison to a hard plastic cover where the door bell is pressed.

You can find the manufactured by date located on a round QC sticker on your current transmitter and/or receiver.
