The ERA-DCRX is a wireless warehouse doorbell receiver (which may be used in various locations) compatible with the Safeguard Supply ERA series of products (except the ERA-PIR-SPK, a stand-alone product).  The receiver plugs into a standard wall outlet and will play one of four tones when triggered by a compatible transmitter/sensor.  The receiver plays at approximately 85 dB and has a volume control knob that allows you to turn the volume down or up.

The receiver gets a wireless signal from a compatible receiver, such as the driveway alert sensor, an outdoor-rated motion-based sensor, a door/window magnetic contact, or a push-button.   Program transmitters and sensors to a zone on the receiver, program a melody to a zone, and each triggered sensor will make the receiver play a sound (scroll below to hear available sounds).

Real Use Scenario of the ERA-DCRX Wireless Doorbell Receiver for Warehouses and Shops

Let’s say you have a large warehouse with two entry doors and would like to place a wireless push button outside the door.  For the first push-button, the ERA-UTX,   on your exterior door, you can associate it with Zone 1 on the receiver, and when triggered, it will play the “Classical” sound.  For a second door, you can place another push button outside and associate it with zone 2, and it will play the “Westminster” melody.

You can use this receiver to expand your existing system.  For example, if you are using the WDK-ERA-STROBE Warehouse Doorbell Kit and need to put a receiver in more than one location, the ERA-DCRX is the desktop version of the receiver you would purchase.  This is a replacement part if you have an existing system and need to replace a receiver.

ERA-DCRX Product Features:

  • The receiver has four zones.  Transmitters/sensors are paired into a respective zone.

    I’m very satisfied with my purchase which includes three receivers, two doorbells, a driveway sensor and a strobe light. No more pesky UPS trucks sneaking up on see.
    I had purchased a Honeywell doorbell/chime from Lowe’s a while back. While less money it didn’t function well. The doorbells had to be pressed and held to operate and then there was only one chime. My new setup is instantly responsive when the doorbell is pressed, the driveway sensor works flawlessly and its sensing distance can be easily controlled internally so it’s not bothered by vehicles on a nearby road. I purchased the devises with a much greater wi fi range than needed but I don’t regret that at all. So far a flawless operation with different chimes set for each door and the driveway. Great customer service too. Call early morning to get Marilee, she’s very knowledgeable and super courteous.

    325ft distance away, (era-dcrx with bell and stobe) . Signal must pass thru concreete exterior wall and fully stocked warehouse, purchasing another unit for the shop manager to install in his office. Great product hope it has longevity

    I have to admit i was skeptical about this working through a metal building. I’ve always had problems with wireless and metal buildings!!! THIS WORKED THROUGH 2 WOOD WALLS AND A METAL WALL !!! My customers only complaint was the dc output timer wouldn’t do less then 5 secounds.(maybe a dial so you could dial it to exactly what you want) 4.9 stars EXALENT wireless product as long as it lasts???

    The original doorbell system with chime was so great and easy to program, we decided to get another receiver for our warehouse. It was so simple to pair with the existing chimes and loud enough to hear back there.     Absolutely great driveway alarm! I live in a rural area and several hundred feet off the road. My driveway comes in to my house on a blind side – bad design, but that’s hindsight. This driveway alarm does everything it’s supposed to. My dog has even learned that someone’s here when the alarm chimes and immediately goes to the door. This system is 1000% better than the cheap Chinese model I bought through Amazon – that was a waste of money.
