Looking for a Loud Doorbell Plugin Kit with Bright Strobe Light? The LRA-D1000S is a wireless door kit featuring a plug-in receiver with one push-button & one plugin receiver. The plug-in receiver is small and compact but has a large, loudspeaker that outputs sound from 80-90 dBA (depending on the melody selected), and a bright strobe light (that you can turn on or off). Like all products in the LRA series, this receiver is compatible with all LRA products allowing you to add more receivers, transmitters, etc. to your system to meet your needs.
Simply plug the receiver into a standard wall outlet, follow the programming instructions, and your system will be up and running in a matter of minutes. When this kit is purchased, the push button and receiver provided in the kit are programmed at the factory to the “ding-dong” sound. This receiver may be programmed to two different transmitters, with each transmitter playing a distinct melody on the receiver. Additional receivers enable you to spread them throughout your home or office.
- When purchased as a kit, the push button comes programmed to the receiver. Follow the included instructions to program an additional push button or another transmitter to the receiver.
- Pair/program up to two (2) transmitters to a receiver. Like the LRA-DCRX and LRA-VPRX, other receivers work with up to four (4) transmitters per receiver.
- Three modes of operation; sound only, strobe only, strobe and sound.
- Eighteen (18) melodies to choose from. Decibel ratings of 85 dba-95 dba depending on the melody chosen.
- A low battery indicator indicates when the battery in the paired push button (or another transmitter) is weak and needs to be replaced.
- Plug-in unit up to 1,000 ft. from transmitters. Environmental factors and building materials will reduce the maximum operating wireless range.
- 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.

How to LRA-PBTX Push Button Mounts
The LRA-PBTX push button has two pieces. The first image below is the back mounting plate that attaches to the exterior wall. The second image shows this mounting plate and the back of the LRA-PBTX electronics.
Once the mounting plate is attached to the wall using the supplied mounting screws and double-sided tape, the LRA-PBTX button attaches to the mounting plate. (click the arrows to rotate through the images to get a basic idea). The user manual provides full mounting instructions.

It is loud but what I really like is the flashing led light that is great and easy to setup , I was sent a tracking number with the order which look great but was not accurate , the item was sent via the United postal service . The chimes (3 total) are solid additions to supplement the single wired chime for a three-story house. Installation hookup to the existing chime was easy. It did take some effort to go through the syncing process and to select the tune but the results were rewarding. The Doorbell Extender Kit with Flashing Strobe Plug-in Receiver only has a native volume that is just ok. However, the LRA-EX1000 Long Range Doorbell has a volume control that can adjust to a loud chime and I would recommend it if you only buy one chime plus the transmitter.

As we age, we sometimes don’t hear people knocking when deliveries are made, partly because we don’t hear as well as we used to. Ordinary wireless doorbells were tried, but they were insufficiently loud. The 1800 bell for the hearing impaired is louder, and useful. But I think a second such bell that rings in rooms distant to its present location would be better, especially if both bells ring after any push button is activated. EGH

We purchased and installed this doorbell and two extra receiver units about 4 days ago for a relative with a profound hearing loss. It performed as advertised. The flashing light is bright and continues to flash for 15 seconds or so after the tone stops. Would suggest keeping the tone announcement operating the entire times the light is flashing, to possibly add a voice announcement “doorbell” and to make the volume on the tones still louder. We have three receivers in a 1400 square foot ranch house and the tones are still not heard. we are planning to add three more receivers, almost one of every room. The transmitter button seems to be well made. We will have to see about the coin cell life in the transmitter

I purchased this flashing door chime to communicate between rooms during funeral services so the person in our music room knows when to start the music. This flasher is extremely bright. There is no way to miss it or ignore it if you are in the same room.
I needed a silent device so I have not tested the chimes. I strongly recommend this if you need a flashing signal that can be activated remotely.

We recently moved into a new home and we never hear the doorbell! We ordered the door bell extension with 2 receivers. We did have to call for assistance for programming. We struggled with the instructions but once she walked us thru the setup -they have worked wonderfully. We have a ring for the front door and s different ring for the back door. (There are several to chose from) Each ring is very different. We can hear them very clearly. Having the two receivers leaves one in the main part of the house and a second one that can go to different areas on the property as long as there is an electrical outlet for it. We don’t miss the deliveries or guests any more!

We use this doorbell with 3 receivers in an medium sized office building. The strobe light is perfect for staff who have had difficulty hearing the doorbell in the past. Also, the doorbell is a good volume for everyone else in the space. I was concerned that it would be too loud for others, as you are not able to adjust the volume, but it is not.

I bought your company’s LRA-EX1000 doorbell extender kit a few years ago and liked everything about it except having to replace the 3 “C” batteries (which gets expensive). I was about to buy the $20 AC adapter and saw the LRA-DCRXS was $35 so I bought it instead. The LRA-DCRXS works great unlike the junk I had bought from a big box store.

These are high quality units, very well made, and the fit and finish is excellent. However, while the strobe light is super bright (and the main reason that I decided to keep it), the sound level of the chimes was not nearly as loud as I expected or needed (I am using it in a home-based woodworking shop). Therefore, I had to purchase a second receiver/strobe unit in order to place it in the same room. Note: my hearing is perfectly normal. One receiver simply wasn’t loud enough.

We needed a wireless doorbell for deliveries at the back of the building. There were some local units at big box stores but they appeared very cheap with a much shorter range. These units were very low-cost (some were $11). I wanted something more robust so I searched for wireless doorbells using the word “commercial” and found 1800doorbell. This unit we ordered was still very well priced (around $59) but had a 1,000ft range and a much longer battery life than the cheaper big box units. We installed the system and it works flawlessly. We’ll definitely be looking here first the next time we need a doorbell solution.
