I have a Dimango Extend-A-Bell transmitter (m/n 35001) which is wired to an existing transformer at the wired two chime door bell. The receiving chime unit just hums and no longer works.
It appears your unit will work – RC235- will work for me. If this is correct i will order it.
Thanks

The RC3253 is compatible with the Dimango Extend-A-Chime.

I would like to replace a Carlon door bell extender model #RC8253R. Please direct me to this model, or another if it’s compatible.

I have a Carlon 3050T Doorbell extender transmitter along with a Carlon RC8233R plug in receiver. I need another plug in receiver that is compatible with the Carlon 3050 T Transmitter.
I can not find another RC8233R plug in receiver. Can you make a recommendation?

I need a replacement for two Carlon Model RC8253R Plug-In chimes. My doorbell transmitter is a Carlon 4120T chime button. Will your RC3253 Carlon Plugin Wireless Door Chime Receiver work as a replacement?
Thanks, Jim
1800Doorbell –
Jim,
Good afternoon and thank you for your inquiry. All Carlon wireless products are compatible, as long as your current system was manufactured after 2001. You can find the manufactured-by date located on a round QC sticker on your receiver and/or transmitter. The last two numbers on this sticker would be the manufactured-by date. For example, if your numbers were 1106, this would mean the system was manufactured in 2006 and would be compatible with what is out now. Thank you,
Customer Support Team

will this replace model RC3000R and work
Jonathan Roses –
I recently replaced one of two buttons because it didnât use the ring I wanted. That went well.
But today, several weeks later, the chime sounds when nobody is pressing either button, and it plays one tune after another.

Hi,I want to purchase your model 3301 but also add the 3253.I noticed the 3253 is out of stock. When are you going to get a new shipment.? Thank you Robert

I had a Plug in door chime model 3250R that had just quit on me. On the back it says SOLD AS RC3253. I am wondering if I order the RC3253 listed above If I would just be able to plug it in when i receive it or do i need to do wiring and replace my push buttons? I could not find a phone number on the door chime to call.
1800Doorbell –
Yes, the RC3253 you see on our website should be compatible. The Carlon brand has been discontinued, but we still have some of their products left.

Will this unit work with an older RC8233R as another extension?
1800Doorbell –
Yes, it is compatible
Ash –
What is the size of transmitter, doorbell?
Catherine Cuchetti –
Can I turn off the nightlight of the Carlon RC3256 (and then turn it back on)?
1800Doorbell –
Good morning. The light on the RC3256 always stays on, there is no way to turn it off. If you are looking for a receiver without a nightlight, we would recommend the RC3730D. Thank you,

How do you change the tune or tone on this unit?
1800Doorbell –
Thank you for your question. The tune is changed at the wireless receiver. If the receiver is a push button, you press the dimple on the front of the button and scroll through the tunes and stopping at the desired melody.
Linda Lacey –
How do you get the cover off of the button case? It is ringing continuously and want to see if a connection or the battery has failed.
1800Doorbell –
Please see the user manual for the push button: https://secure.1800doorbell.com/wp-content/uploads/pdf/rc3301-wireless-button-carlon.pdf
Calvin Klugh –
How are the batteries loaded in the button
Hari Atyam –
Dimensions of the door bell ?

3 1/8 (H)
1 (W)
1 (D)

Does this unit replace the RC8253R unit which I have; probably 15 years old.
1800Doorbell –
Good afternoon. As long as your current system was manufactured after 2001, all Carlon wireless products would be compatible with one another. You can find the manufactured by date located on a round QC sticker on your current receiver and/or transmitter. There will be several numbers on that sticker, the last two would be the manufactured by date. As long as they are after 01, the units would be compatible.
