The T1610 is the wired doorbell transformer featured in the kit. It is a 16V, 10A designed for a standard wired doorbell. 10VA is sufficient to power the lighted button and the wired chime. This transformer will NOT be powerful enough to power the wired chime and the video doorbell for users who have or plan to have a video doorbell. For this configuration, we recommend the T1630 by Craftmade.

– It is a 16V, 10A transformer designed for a standard wired doorbell.
– 10VA is sufficient to power the lighted button and the wired chime.
– However, the T1610 will not be powerful enough also to power the wired chime and the video doorbell.
– For users with or plan to have a video doorbell, we recommend the T1630 by Craftmade as a suitable transformer for this configuration.
