Description

This is a replacement or add-on PIR transmitter for the Di2000-A wireless driveway alarm, “the Driveway Informer,” and the TXRX2000A by Rodann Electronics.  Click the product page for complete information about the Di20000S-A and the TXRX2000A. Each receiver, the Di2000R-A (RX2000A), has four zones; you can pair a transmitter/sensor to each zone, each with a distinct sound.

The TX2000A is outdoor rated and has a wireless range of up to 1,000 ft., line of sight, from the compatible receiver, the RX2000A. It is powered by 2 x AA alkaline batteries (not included) and ships with a mounting bracket and mounting screws. The sensor is triggered when motion is detected in the zone created by the sensor. The sensor emits an invisible beam, and when an object passes through the zone, the sensor triggers and transmits a radio signal to the RX2000A. At 25′, the detection zone is 1′ x 1′; at 50′, the detection zone is 2′ x 2′.

Each Rodann Electronics RX2000A unit is designed to seamlessly integrate with a maximum of four (4) TX2000A transmitters/sensors, allowing for multiple sensor inputs to be monitored simultaneously. This versatile configuration empowers users to effectively monitor different areas or zones within a given space, ensuring comprehensive surveillance coverage.

Moreover, the system presents the advantage of flexibility, as there is no imposed limit on the number of RX2000A receivers that can be paired with a single transmitter/sensor. This means that users can expand their monitoring capabilities by adding additional RX2000A units, thereby extending the range and coverage of their surveillance network.

There are three sensitive settings for the TX2000A, high, normal, and low, adjusted by moving jumper pins on the circuit board of the receiver.

    I have tried numerous driveway alarms and this one driveway informer is the one to get. You can have four different transmitters placed along your driveway and have four different tones for each one. My furthest transmitter is 350+ feet from the base station and it works perfect. Highly recommend this model, it’s the one to get.

    Good morning. Yes, this system is compatible with multiple receivers and/or transmitters. The receiver sku would be the DI2000R-A and the transmitter sku would be the DI2000T-A. The model numbers would be TX2000A (transmitter) and RX2000A (receiver).

    We have had our driveway monitor for 20 years – and just recently had a problem with the transmitter (only because one of the screws stripped and couldn’t make the seal tight enough and water penetrated the circuit board inside). Can’t live without this product when you live out in the country with a very long driveway!! Great product and reasonable priced!

    I ordered an extra transmitter along with the DI2000S-AG Driveway Informer Kit. I already have the transmitter from the kit set up near the end of our long driveway to alert us to people or vehicles approaching the house from the street. Since we don’t have an actual doorbell, I installed this second transmitter on our porch so that we know when anyone has reached our front door.

    As mentioned in my review of the Driveway Informer Kit, the two screws for the mounting bracket and those for securing the halves of the transmitter together were very tight and difficult to remove. After getting them out, I applied some silicone grease to the screw threads, which made loosening and tightening the screws much easier and facilitating future battery replacements.

    Only two screws are used to hold the case halves together. I would prefer that four screws be used for this purpose so that the silicone gasket between the case halves will be compressed evenly all around its perimeter, thus ensuring a tight seal.

    I would like to see this product offered in a few different colors in addition to the satin green: Tan, brown, black, and even a camo pattern could improve the unit’s concealment in different locations and environments.

    Overall, this is a very good US-made product and highly recommended should you need one or more additional transmitters.
