What sort of transformer do I need to use with this bell?

I live in a 130 year old home. At some point a fire bell was installed as a mechanical door bell. It finally wore out and we want to replace it to maintain the character of that unmistakable clang. BTW, we also have a separate current-day smoke alarm system, i.e., the bell we need will only be for announcing guests. I tried a bell I found and it rings for the short duration that the doorbell button is pushed. I am looking for a way to make the bell sound for about 3-5 seconds when the button is pushed. Any ideas? I am wondering about the mention in the description of “preset period of time.” Thank you!!!!!!! love your website!

The bells were shipped and received in just a few days. They were used to let our classes know when class time was over they worked great.

Are there other items needed to make this work with a already installed AC doorbell?

We were looking for a product that would work wireless thru a 90k sq ft warehouse ( so from doorbell button to receivers approx 300’with no clear path) stocked 24′ high with packaging film for food products. The alarm bell is perfect as it is load and can be heard over the slitting machines. This was a replacement bell that was shipped out and received within days …1800Door Bell , check it out, you wont be disappointed.

Now a days you have to be so careful about internet purchases, it’s very easy to pay out money for something and get junk or ripped off. This is a great product, not too expensive and this bells work great. Mine are installed in a place that details vehicles, loud vacuum cleaners, high pressure wash, buffers, and these bells can be heard over all these items going at once. I purchased 3 transmitters, the main unit and 3 bells. I programmed all transmitters to one zone and paralleled the bells all under that zone. The unit can handle 400 mA per zone 12 volt output, the bells are 40, so it handles the output for the 3 bells perfectly. As of now am very happy with the purchase. Also used customer support to verify I could put all the bells on the same output. They were very helpful, didn’t keep me waiting all day. Great customer service. Would recommend this company’s product to anyone and would definitely purchase from them again.

I’m seeking an affordable 12vdc loud bell with a specific ring pattern. Roughly 4 rings per second. Do you have such a bell? Alternatively, if I were to supply this device with a variable duty cycle square wave of energized duration of less than the native ring cycle would it respond like a single stroke bell?

Super nice fire alarm bell but I thought it was battery operated for inside the house. My bad. I guess I’ll try to return it or exchange it. Thank you, read the fine print.
