Is the button mechanism compatible with other buttons?

Does the transformer fit inside the chime box? I am replacing my old chime which had the transformer housed inside it. Thanks.

Good morning. Unfortunately, no, the transformer will not fit inside of the box with the mechanism. All of our wired chimes are installed with the push button wired to the transformer and then the transformer wired to the chime. The transformer would need be installed somewhere between the chime and push button. Thank you,

Does this doorbell unit have output terminals for a remote sounder?

No it does not, however, it works well with this product: https://secure.1800doorbell.com/era-exrpgx.htm which gives you the ability to add a remote doorbell receiver.
